Declaration of transparency for each research article

An editorial published in BMJ last 7 August, suggests that authors sign a publication transparency decalration as part of every journal submission. The BMJ and BMJOpen are implementing this policy immediately

It proposes, that journal editors and editorial groups help by asking authors to sign following declaration of transparency:

Transparency declaration

The lead author* affirms that this manuscript is an honest, accurate, and transparent account of the study being reported; that no important aspects of the study have been omitted; and that any discrepancies from the study as planned (and, if relevant, registered) have been explained.
