STREGA Statement, the first extension of the STROBE Statement, has now been published

The STREGA Statement, the first extension of the STROBE Statement, has now been published by several journals simultaneously including Human GeneticsPLoS Medicine and Annals of Internal Medicine. STREGA stands for "STrengthening the REporting of Genetic Association Studies". The collaborative effort led by Julian Little (University of Ottawa / Canada) aims to improve the reporting of genetic association studies by proposing extensions to 12 of the 22 original items of the STROBE checklist. The new reporting guideline is freely available on the journals' websites.
