What is STROBE?
STROBE stands for an international, collaborative initiative of epidemiologists, methodologists, statisticians, researchers and journal editors involved in the conduct and dissemination of observational studies, with the common aim of STrengthening the Reporting of OBservational studies in Epidemiology.
The STROBE Statement is being endorsed by a growing number of biomedical journals. Click here for full list.

News from STROBE:
14/05/2008:
The Spanish version of the STROBE Statement has been published in the March / April issue of Gaceta Sanitaria. The article is freely available at the journal's website. The publication was accompanied by an editorial titled "The STROBE statement or how to improve the reporting of observational studies".
30/03/2008:
We have added a page to this website called "Forum for discussion" with STROBE-related comments that we have received by readers of the STROBE documents.
05/03/2008:
The STROBE Statement has been published in the April 2008 issue of the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, the January 2008 issue of the International Journal of Public Health and the Oct-Dec 2007 issue of the Infectious Diseases Journal of Pakistan. All three publications are accompanied by editorials. In addition, the International Journal of Public Health devotes a "Speaker's Corner" section to STROBE with two invited commentaries by Alfredo Morabia and Louise Potvin.
